Study of prevalence of violence against women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, being the first study of this kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has emerged as a result of a survey implemented by the Gender Equality Agency of BiH and the Entity Gender Centers, together with Institutes for Statistics and supported by the UNFPA and the UN WOMEN.
The main purpose of the Study was to explore prevalence and incidence of various forms of violence against women in the sphere of private relations and broader community.
The study of violence against women in BiH will be widely distributed and presented as it may serve as a guide in planning further activities of authorities at all levels, as well as the non-governmental organizations from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
