The research findings on the determinants and factors of violence against children in Serbia, conducted by UNICEF in Serbia in cooperation with SeConS, mentored by an expert team from the University of Teacher Education in Zurich, are presented in Belgrade, Kragujevac, Nis and Novi Sad. Also, consultative meetings were held with relevant stakeholders who are working in the field of prevention and protection of children from violence. The goal was validation of the findings and formulating recommendations that will be integrated into the final version of the National Report on the determinants and factors of violence against children in Serbia.
Based on the research, a draft of the National Report on the determinants and factors of violence against children in Serbia is writtrn and it will be finalized soon. Its aim is to present the current situation and provide guidance for the formulation of the National Strategy and Action Plan for the prevention and protection of children from abuse and neglect 2016-2020, improving sectoral policies and the formulation of effective intervention in the field of protection of children from exposure to violence in many forms.
