Svetlana Stanarević
dr Svetlana Stanarević, Advisory board member
Svetlana Stanarević, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade, and also engaged at the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad. Her main areas of interest include human security, urban security and security culture. She implemented numerous projects supported by the Open Society Foundation, the Cultural Center DamaD, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Faculty of Security Studies, and other various organizations and institutions. She participated in COST action (the oldest program of European cooperation in scientific and technologic research) TU 1203 Crime Prevention through Urban Design and Planning (2013-2016). She made professional contribution to the Youth Sector in the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia in the period 2008-2015, she is a member of a Working Group for the National Youth Strategy (2015-2025) as a coordinator of the youth security group (in the period 2014-2015), as well as a Working Group tasked to develop Action Plan implementing the National Youth Strategy 2015-2017. She is a director of the Human Security Research Centre, an organizational unit of the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade, where through various academic activities motivates and involves students to better understand and promote the idea of human security through different forms of informal learning (www.human-security.info).
