Monitoring and evaluation of the project Stop protect help: A stronger institutional response to gender based violence in AP Vojvodina

Monitoring and evaluation of the project Stop protect help: A stronger institutional response to gender based violence in AP Vojvodina

Research into gender based violence shows that every second woman in AP Vojvodina experienced psychological violence, and every third experienced physical violence, within their family or intimate partner relationship, while 9% of women experienced sexual violence. Serbia is signatory to the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, and adopted the National Strategy for Prevention and Elimination of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence against Women, while AP Vojvodina adopted the Program for Protection of Women from Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence (2015-2020).

The goal of the project “Stop – protect – help: A stronger institutional response to gender based violence in AP Vojvodina” was to better protect women and girls in AP Vojvodina from gender based violence, and to provide victims with improved institutional, medical and psychosocial support services. The aim of monitoring and evaluation of this project was to provide an appraisal of the success of project implementation, including an assessment of provision of new services to victims of violence in AP Vojvodina, and the implementation of measures from the Program for Protection of Women from Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence (2015-2020). Evaluation was based on relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability criteria. SeConS provided support to teams implementing the project for a period of three years by developing a monitoring plan, the initial status report and the final report on accomplished goals.
