Development of a Support Programme for Women’s Entrepreneurship

Development of a Support Programme for Women’s Entrepreneurship

SeConS has been engaged within the UNDP project Ending Violence – Empowering Change to develop a Support Programme for Women’s Entrepreneurship in Serbia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Agencies (RDAs). The aim is to design a programme that will provide women entrepreneurs with financial and non-financial support tailored to their needs and that would be implemented through the network of RDAs.

To ensure that the future Programme is grounded in the actual needs of women entrepreneurs and the capacities of RDAs to implement it, SeConS is conducting research with women entrepreneurs in the agriculture, food processing and tourism sectors, alongside an assessment of the institutional capacities of Regional Development Agencies. The research focuses on understanding the challenges women face at different stages of business development, their experiences with existing support measures and services, and the types of support they need.

Based on the research findings, a proposal for the Support Programme for Women’s Entrepreneurship will be developed, defining the target groups, support measures and packages, the implementation model through the RDA network, the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders, as well as a framework for monitoring results and ensuring the Programme’s sustainability.
