The Report on the Position of Women and Employers in the Labor Market of the Jablanica and Pčinja Districts was developed as part of the first phase of the project “She Knows – Economic Empowerment of Women,” conducted by SeConS – Development Initiative Group. The project is implemented by Impact Hub from 2024 to 2028, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and in partnership with AmCham, the Center for the Development of Jablanica and Pčinja Districts, and Erste Bank. The project’s aim is to enhance the economic inclusion of women by improving employment, self-employment, and business opportunities while reducing workplace barriers and gender biases.
The purpose of this report is to provide insight into the real position and employment of women in the Jablanica and Pčinja districts, as well as data on the characteristics of companies in these districts, with a focus on employment potential. These findings will serve to design a tailored program to enhance women’s employability, support their pursuit of sustainable employment, and improve their economic status.
