The forum will be held live in the ethno village “Gostoljublje” (Ražana).

Since 2014, the Women’s Platform for the Development of Serbia has been continuously monitoring the field of agriculture and rural development and making efforts with its analyses and initiatives to contribute to the improvement of the social and economic position of women in rural areas and their stronger influence on decision-making and change in sustainable development in local communities.

The local public policies in the agriculture and rural development sector are predominantly gender neutral. They do not recognize the role that women in rural areas play for the survival of the farm, the prosperity of the rural community and the continuity of rural development. Women are insufficiently involved in decision-making, they are not asked about the model of agricultural and rural development, and policies and measures do not adequately recognize their needs.

Bearing in mind the priorities adopted at the Conference Feminism. Rebellion. Change in December 2020, within the second Forum for Gender Policies, the topic “Women in rural areas of Serbia – (in)visible success” is opened.
