Prof. Marija Babović, PhD, who serves as Director of Programmes at the SeConS Development Initiative Group, has been awarded the “Anđelka Milić” Award for 2025. In recognition of her remarkable academic and research achievements, as well as her long-term dedication to advancing social inclusion and gender equality policies, Prof. Marija Babović, PhD, has been honored for her significant contributions to science, social development, and the improvement of the status of women in Serbia.
The “Anđelka Milić” Award is presented by the Section for Feminist Research and Critical Studies on Masculinity (SEFEM) to strengthen the feminist production of contextualized knowledge—through original and relevant research, as well as its creative use and application across all domains of social life in Serbia. In this way, the SEFEM team honors and preserves the lasting legacy of the scientific work, contributions, and feminist activism of Anđelka Milić (1942–2014), who was also the first president of SEFEM.
