UNICEF in Serbia conducted additional analysis of the MICS survey from 2019, but also using available data collected through the previous MICS surveys (2005, 2010, 2014). Experts from the SeConS Development Initiative Group participated in MICS6 – Secondary analyses.
The goal was to produce in-depth insights on thematic areas relevant to children, women and youth. Analysis was extended, where applicable, to other related and reliable data sources (e.g. Survey on Income and Living Conditions, European Health Interview Survey, Population Census, etc).
The reports provide a comparative analysis of numerous aspects of child rights through a life-course dimension as experienced by different groups of children and women. The reports identify specific moments where children are at risk of being left behind, and are therefore a valuable resource on equity in Serbia.
